๐ญ My skin is extremely dry; what on earth should I do for anti-aging?
Lately, my skin has been so dry that I am seriously worried. No matter how much cream I apply, it feels tight from the inside, and when I wake up in the morning, my face looks dull and rough. In the past, just focusing on moisturizing was enough, but now my wrinkles are noticeably deepening, so I sigh every time I look in the mirror.
Especially during seasonal changes, my skin becomes more sensitive and flaky, so retinol or functional products feel too irritating. Still, as I get older, I can't just skip anti-aging altogether... So, how on earth should someone with extremely dry skin approach anti-aging?
It feels like focusing only on moisturizing doesn't improve wrinkles, but using anti-aging products makes the dryness worse, creating a vicious cycle. Creams with a lot of oil feel heavy and suffocating, while a hydrating cream alone isn't enough.
My skin is thin and sensitive, so I'm afraid to try just any product. I also feel anxious because I've heard that "aging accelerates when skin is dehydrated." What kind of skincare routine do you all follow during this period of extreme dryness? Is there a way to address both extreme dryness and anti-aging at the same time?
I really want to take proper care of my skin this winter so it doesn't get damaged any further, but I don't know where or how to start.
