Why do pores actually become more visible when I apply powder?

파우더를 바르면 오히려 모공이 더 잘 보이는 건 왜일까요?

I always make sure to use powder when finishing my makeup because I don't like oil rising to the surface.

At first, I liked the soft, matte finish, but at some point, I started noticing something strange.

My skin definitely looked fine before I applied powder, but after doing so, the pores around my nose and cheeks looked more prominent. 🥲

Especially when I look in the mirror in a bright place, it looks like powder is stuck in the pores, so it feels like I applied my makeup thicker than it actually is.

I applied it to control oil, but since my skin texture is actually more noticeable, I'm wondering if it would be better not to apply it.

But if I skip the powder, the area around my nose gets shiny after just a few hours, so this isn't easy either.

I'm wondering if it's because I applied too much powder, or if there is a difference depending on the tool I use, like a puff or a brush.

I also want to know if I should let my basic skincare products absorb completely before applying powder, or if I should start by changing the type of powder I use if I am concerned about my pores.

Are there any others like me who want to control oil but are worried that their pores become even more noticeable? 😭

Please share any tips you have actually seen that help you apply it in a way that makes your skin look less stuffy!
