Is there a big difference depending on the price range of the mask packs?

I don't use face masks very often; I tend to use them only when I receive one as a gift or when I spot one. Also, I only think of using them when I really feel my skin being tight or dry. While I am using them, I am quite satisfied and like the moisturizing feeling they provide.

Are face masks actually effective? Also, the prices vary so widely; I'm curious if the expensive ones have better ingredients and are more effective.
