Moisturizing cream for dry skin

Is it okay to apply a lot of moisturizer when my skin is dry?

I'm thinking of keeping applying dermatological medication when it's dry,

I thought it was too strong, so I looked for several.

I was applying moisturizer,

Would this be okay? Or does anyone have any other recommendations?
