Worried about managing sebum and impurities in the summer?

Every summer, the hot and humid weather causes sebum production to increase rapidly and waste products to accumulate in the pores at a faster rate, so I am incredibly stressed.
I want to quickly take care of my skin so it doesn't look messy before a photoshoot, but I'm worried that if I wipe it too hard, my skin barrier will break down and my oil-moisture balance will be disrupted.
I'm worried that my pores might become more noticeable, so I'm struggling to figure out how to fundamentally control sebum rather than just get a temporary solution, while minimizing irritation!
