Does eyelash serum really work? Or is this an advertisement?

Lately, when I look at social media, I see a lot of reviews saying that their eyelashes have grown incredibly long after using eyelash serum.

My eyelashes are naturally short and sparse, so I’ve always been worried about them, and even when I apply mascara, it doesn’t really show. I tried extending it, but it was difficult to manage and uncomfortable for my eyes, so I stopped.

However, the reviews for eyelash serums are so polarized. Some people say it got longer in just a month, while others say there was no change even after using it for several months.

I'm curious if it really works if I apply it consistently, or if it just makes my existing eyelashes look healthier.
