Can I use an expired pack?

I used to use face masks regularly during the dry winter, but now that the weather has warmed up, I have a lot left over. Some are nearing their expiration date, while others have already passed. Will it be okay to continue using these expired masks? I'm afraid that if I use them incorrectly, my skin might break out, or I might get pimples or hives. Has anyone used masks after they expired? Also, since it's hot now, is it okay to store these masks in the refrigerator? I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to keep the ones nearing their expiration date in the refrigerator to prevent them from spoiling further. Please let me know.
