Gel-type creams only feel moisturizing when applied. Is it just me?

I am currently using these two gel-type creams. Because the weather is changing,

I tried changing it to a slightly lighter formula.

This type of cream is moisturizing and refreshing

I like the absorbent finish.

The problem is that it feels moist right after applying it, but

I found it dry after it was absorbed.
