Collagen helps with skin elasticity~ Is it better to take topical cosmetics or ingestible products?
I am in my 40s. My skin tends to be dry overall.
Now that I’m in my late forties, it upsets me every time I look in the mirror because my skin isn't as firm as it used to be. As elasticity decreases, fine lines are becoming more noticeable. Using Atobarrier Cream has significantly reduced the dryness, but I feel like I need to take better care of my skin.
I see my friends using collagen products, but everyone says that applying it topically is the best method, while others say you need to nourish it from within, so it’s even more confusing.
Topical collagen cosmetics tighten the skin and create a moisturizing barrier, but it is said that they do not absorb deep into the skin because the collagen molecules are large.
It is said that ingestible collagen products help with not only the skin but also joints and overall body health, but the effects do not appear in the short term.
Has anyone tried or taken collagen products? If you know of any good ones, please share the information.
