😱 Teenage son's sudden skin trouble — How should I manage it?
Hello. My teenage son has recently developed a sudden, widespread breakout of blemishes and acne on his face, and I am so worried that I am losing sleep over it. He doesn't usually tend to touch his face much, but starting two weeks ago, red, inflamed bumps and pimples appeared around his nose, forehead, and chin. They are gradually getting bigger, and he is complaining of pain. He seems to have lost confidence at school, and I am even more anxious that scars might remain because he keeps touching and trying to squeeze them.
First, let me list the things I have tried at home and my observations.
I usually wash my face in the morning and evening, but after washing it frequently for a while to control sebum, my skin seems to have become drier. The only products I normally use are a moisturizing cream, a foam cleanser, and sunscreen for sports; I rarely use hair wax or oily products. As for my diet, I occasionally eat greasy foods like chicken or pizza, but I usually eat rice and side dishes. I also tend to experience stress (from exams).
I sincerely ask for your advice on what to prioritize to manage this skin trouble and acne, what products to use at the pharmacy, what to absolutely avoid doing at home, and when to visit a doctor (dermatologist). Please provide as much detail as possible regarding realistic routines and contraindications (things to avoid) that can be tried without leaving scars or damaging my son's emotional well-being, as well as treatment options (prescription medication/dermatological treatment) to get out of this situation. It would be very helpful if you could include methods you have already tried and the results, as well as how to identify your son's skin type (whether it is oily or sensitive).
Thank you. Please help me.

CommentsThat’s not necessarily the case. But if you apply a soft cream type, it becomes even softer.170026.11.03

- 03CommentsAfter laser hair removal, your skin can become sensitive, so moisturizing and soothing care are important. Apply a thin layer of mild, fragrance-free moisturizer, and it is best to avoid hot saunas or harsh exfoliation for the time being. Please also pay attention to sun protection when going outdoors.
