Choosing a sunscreen is so difficult these days. I have very sensitive, dry skin, so I react immediately to just any sunscreen. It feels tight and stinging, and in severe cases, it even turns red. So, I have been trying out mainly mineral sunscreens known to be gentle, but I still haven't found a product that I feel is the one.
There is also talk that organic sunscreens take some time to start providing protection.
I am currently using Innisfree Tone-Up Sunscreen. It is nice that it slightly brightens my complexion, but my skin feels tight quickly after application, and sometimes it flakes off like dead skin cells by the afternoon. It definitely feels like it lacks moisture for a sunscreen intended for dry skin. It feels fine when applied, but since it dries out so fast, it is a bit inconvenient to use daily.
So lately, I feel like I've searched for "sunscreen" dozens of times. Does anyone happen to have a real holy grail product? It would be even better if it didn't leave a heavy white cast and applied well without caking. I also want to avoid anything that feels too heavy or sticky when I go out because of the mask.
For those of you who have had similar concerns, please recommend any sunscreens for dry skin that you have tried that were really good! Because of my skin, even applying sunscreen is a battle, so I want to settle on a product I can trust.
With most organic sunscreens, if you sweat or touch your eyes with your hands, the eye irritation is severe, so you have to wipe it all off. Also, whether it is an organic or inorganic sunscreen, it is hard to find one that is suitable for dry skin.
Even if I apply foundation in the morning, it cakes and melts in the hot summer. I want to use a sunscreen + MAC blush combination that lasts a long time, so please give me some recommendations ;)
