Do you have any recommended products for different contouring types?
Today, while looking in the mirror, I suddenly thought that I wished my facial contours were a bit more defined. Since contouring is such a trend these days, I felt like I wanted to give it a proper try. However, now that I’m actually about to do it, I’m struggling to decide which product to choose. I heard there are different types of contouring, but I’m not sure which one is right for me. So, I decided to write this down to organize my thoughts.
I have been using brush-based contouring products until now. At first, I liked them because they were much more natural and convenient than applying with my fingers. Gently sweeping with a brush creates soft shading, so they were perfect for beginners. However, I have almost used up that brush now; the bristles are falling out and it is in really bad condition. I am debating whether to buy a new one, but I also thought I should take this opportunity to look into other types. If I try to think of what might be available, stick, cream, and powder types come to mind.
I've tried the brush type, so this time I want to try a stick or a cream. But when I actually try to buy one, I hesitate because I don't know which one is good. I think I saw somewhere that a specific brand's stick contour has good application... but my memory is a bit hazy. It's the same with powders; there are famous products, you know.
My brush is almost worn out, so since I'm going to buy a new one anyway, I want to take this opportunity to choose one that suits my skin and style. I plan to take some time tonight to look up some reviews, and if you find a good product, please give me a recommendation. I wonder if it's really necessary to agonize over just one thing like contouring, but I'm still excited at the thought of my face looking more three-dimensional.
