Please recommend a base for matte makeup.

My skin is more dry than oily, so dead skin cells tend to stand out easily... It's not easy for me to try matte makeup.

My pores are on the larger side, and while my skin was extremely oily in my 20s, it has now turned dry, which is quite disconcerting... so I've been having a lot of concerns.

Are there any base products you would recommend for those with dry skin?
