I'm curious about how to do pore-covering makeup.

My pores tend to be large.
As I get older, I'm worried that my pores seem to be stretching and getting bigger.
However, when I wear makeup, my pores look even more prominent.
I've also tried using a pore primer before.
I couldn't really tell if the pores were covered well compared to when I didn't use primer.
Could it be because I used the primer incorrectly?
I've noticed that my pores look more prominent as time passes and my skin gets oily after applying makeup. So, as I try to cover them up, it feels like my makeup is getting thicker and thicker.
