Is there any point in applying a patch before it bursts...?

There was no instruction to extrude and paste.

If you apply a patch, doesn't it just provide coverage? I've bought and used patches like this before, but the ones meant for when it's about to burst didn't really feel like they were providing spot care.

Just for coverage before applying makeup
