The sebum stuck in my nose is very visible, so it keeps bothering me. It stands out especially after washing my face, and it bothers me because it makes my skin feel uneven when I apply makeup. I feel like it would come out if I pressed it gently with my finger, so I get the urge to squeeze it impulsively, but I'm also worried that doing so might widen my pores.
I am wondering if it is okay to squeeze out sebum directly, or if it could actually cause inflammation or hyperpigmentation. Would using nose strips, sebum softeners, or exfoliating products be a safer method?
