How do you all clean your brushes? Is it okay to just use them as is...?

I've been getting a lot of pimples lately, so I was wondering what was wrong.
I wondered if it was because I hadn't been washing my makeup brushes enough... 😞

Honestly, I don't even know how to clean brushes.
Since it was a hassle, I just kept writing for a few weeks.
(Just wiping it roughly with a wet tissue and using it again...🙈)

By the way, how often do you all wash your brushes?
I'm also wondering when is the right time to replace brushes that have been used for a long time!

Is there a standard for things like the replacement cycle for makeup brushes?

I would be grateful if you could share any good cleaning methods or product recommendations you have.🙏
