For collagen to improve skin elasticity, which is better: taking it orally or applying it topically?

They say that collagen is essential as you age.

You know, we need collagen for skin elasticity and collagen for the body, too.

But seriously, isn't applying it or eating it just the same collagen? Haha (>.< Is that a stupid thing to say? Haha)

This is the collagen I ate and applied.

I heard that you can eat this, or mix it with lotion and apply it.

But when I eat it, it has absolutely no taste. Tasteless?? Haha. It’s not that I can’t eat it because it tastes bad, but since it just has no flavor at all, it’s not easy to eat. Haha.

 

So, I mostly used to mix it with this collagen cream, or mix it into yogurt or shakes.

 

 

But I'm curious

So, regarding collagen for skin elasticity, is it really better to take it orally or apply it topically?

Which one is actually better?

I suddenly became curious.

 

 

Why is it that we consume collagen, and there are also many collagen cosmetics available?

I'm really curious if it's better to do both or if doing just one is fine.
