Please share some great tips for stick shading!!

I use the Etude Shading Stick for nose contouring.

Apply with a stick shading product and blend with a brush.

I tried stick shading because I heard it looked natural, but for me, it chipped off my base and left a patchy look.

I've only used Etude stick shading, so if you know of any good stick shading products, please recommend them!

Please let me know if you have any tips for nose contouring to prevent my base from smudging!!
