What contouring product can help define the shape better?

My skin tone is on the darker side, so when I do my makeup, I always try to go for brighter, whiter tones.

Maybe that's why my makeup often ends up looking a bit off, as if something is missing.

I want to try a proper contouring makeup look that enhances my facial features and makes my face look smaller. Are there any contouring products that would suit this skin tone?
