Please give me some contouring advice for this face shape...

I have a slender face shape. I put a lot of effort into covering it up.
I'm mainly trying to achieve a shaded look using contouring.
There are limits to doing things on your own.
I used to use blush, but at some point, I heard that stick blush looks more natural, so I've been using that instead.
Do I need to get advice from a professional shop for this as well?
I do my makeup every day, but I don't know why I'm so clumsy at it.
Makeup to make this slender face look round....
