Rice water cleansing tips I've tried for a few months after struggling with milia
About a few months ago, I posted about my struggles with milia, and I received various suggestions in the comments. One of the comments suggested rinsing with rice water, so although I didn't have high expectations at first, I decided to give it a try since it was an easy method to do at home.
Since it is just the water produced when washing rice, there is nothing special to prepare, and because it is the water naturally generated when cooking rice, I thought I could try it without any pressure. So, since then... A habit of using rice water once as the final step of washing my face for several months I tried making it.
Using the first and second rice water
I usually discard the water from the first wash of rice because it may contain dust or impurities, so I tend to use the water from the second or third wash. I heard that this water is relatively clean and still retains some of the rice's starch, making it suitable for use on the skin.
When I wash rice to cook, I usually save the water from the second wash separately to use.
Second, use after refrigeration.
Rice water can spoil easily if left at room temperature for too long, so I store it in a clean stainless steel pot in the refrigerator. I also usually use it within a day or two. I feel more at ease using it as soon as possible because I think it's better to use it while it's fresh rather than letting it sit for too long.
When washing my face, I prefer to let it sit for a moment after taking it out of the refrigerator before using it when it is not too cold, rather than using it immediately.
Third, rinse lightly at the final step of cleansing.
After finishing my cleansing and washing routine, I take some rice water in my hands and gently pour it over my face a few times. I prefer to use it simply as a rinse rather than rubbing my face. Finally, I finish by lightly rinsing once more with lukewarm water.
This process wasn't as cumbersome as I thought, so after doing it a few times, I naturally found myself continuing to do it.
<Impressions after using it for a few months>
After doing it consistently for a few months, compared to before My skin feels a little less rough after washing my face. There was a day when I lost, and right after washing my face It also feels less dry than before. It was. milia Rather than saying it has completely disappeared, it is like before It feels like the sensation of it coming up less frequently has decreased. Personally, it wasn't a bad method.
Of course, it may vary depending on skin type, but it’s not like I’m using a new special product. A small routine I continue without pressure because it is something I can easily try at home. That is why I’ve developed a habit of naturally collecting the second batch of water when washing the rice while cooking.
