Is solid Vitamin C a good whitening product?

To brighten my dull face, even just a little

I heard that applying solid vitamin C products is good, so I'm applying them.

I started using it, but it stung and burned so much that I used it for a few days.

I stopped. It's really hard to have white skin.

Could you recommend some cosmetics that are good for whitening?

I want a product that is not irritating to the face.
