Since I have dry skin, I prefer a glossy finish.

I usually use a moisturizing foundation, but at least in the summer

I'm temporarily switching to using a matte foundation.

The reality is that in a summer that is not just hot but humid and scorching, you absolutely, positively cannot survive with a moisturizing foundation.

The Dior foundation I bought this time covers blemishes better than I expected.

This is a matte foundation that covers faint spots and dark freckles to some extent. The skin finish is soft and matte as expected, and it offers excellent coverage.

However, since it is matte, settling into pores is a concern. I find myself reaching for the mirror more often these days.
