Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation Cool Tone Review

I am a dehydrated oily skin type, cool tone shade 21.

I have oily skin, so I’ve been a foundation nomad trying out all sorts of things.

Especially in hot and humid weather like this, by the afternoon, my layered makeup easily breaks down and oil surfaces, leaving my face shiny and greasy in no time. I've tried everything from budget-friendly to high-end brands, but I've found that there is no foundation as matte and long-lasting as Estée Lauder Double Wear!

Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation adheres matte immediately upon application, offers high coverage, and barely smudges, making it a must-have for summer base makeup. It is highlighted for its 24-hour wearability and excellent oil control.

When applied thinly with a pore brush or spatula brush, it provides an ultra-close fit and powerful coverage. I am 100% satisfied, even though I have skin concerns regarding freckles and blemishes. I usually apply two thin layers for coverage and finish by controlling oiliness with a pressed finish powder.

There is a wide variety of colors, and new colors are constantly being released, so there is a broad range of options to choose from to find a shade that suits your skin tone.

There are a total of 19 colors available in cool, neutral, and warm tones. The two most popular colors are Bon and Cool Vanilla.

I have a slightly cool undertone. Cool Vanilla applies a bit darker, while Bone is a lighter tone but comes across as yellow, so I've been mixing the two colors. When applied, Ivory Nude is brighter than Cool Vanilla but slightly darker than Bone. It's a neutral tone that fits right in the middle, so I found this color to be pretty good too!

Since Double Wear is matte, I use it after applying a solid base. The combination of another moisturizing semi-matte foundation and Double Wear is also great because it maintains longevity without drying out the skin too much.

I recommend this foundation for those with oily skin during the summer for its great coverage and long-lasting wear!
