When doing your basic skincare, do you wait for everything to be fully absorbed before applying the next product?

I've seen a lot of posts saying that when applying basic skincare products, you should let them absorb completely before applying the next step.

But I just apply the next step product right away. They say it absorbs, but actually, what you applied just dries out. Then the next step feels stiff when you apply it, so I quickly apply the next step before what I have dries out. If what I applied absorbs too fast, I sometimes intentionally spray a mist to hydrate my skin before applying the next product.

Am I the only one like this? Haha.

I'm curious if others wait for each product to fully absorb before applying the next one.
