Does dryness worsen redness?

When winter comes, I can feel the dryness myself.

I think I'm getting dry skin.

However, as soon as I start to feel my skin getting dry, redness appears like a ghost along with it.

Actually, the area I feel is dry is around my mouth.

But why does flushing appear on the cheeks?

Looking at it from a specific angle, I wonder if it might be due to dryness, but it is definitely true that redness occurs when it starts to dry out.

Is there a correlation between dryness and redness?
