How often do you cut your hair?

I was always debating whether to grow my hair out or cut it short.

I cut my hair into a blunt bob when it was medium length, then let it grow out for a few months without cutting it again, only to want to cut it into a bob once more, and I keep repeating this cycle.

As I grow my hair out from a bob to a medium length, it has started sticking out and looking frizzy, so I'm wondering if I should get a straightening treatment or trim it a little bit.

How often do you usually go to the hair salon, and what kind of treatments do you get?
