eye cream

I often apply eye cream not only around my eyes but all over my face. My skincare professional told me it was okay to use it on my face, so I tried it, and the dryness has decreased significantly. Should I say my skin tends to crack easily? When it gets dry, it gets severely dry. Are there any others who frequently apply eye cream to their face like me? I am curious if there are any side effects.
