My honest review of the Abib Houttuynia Cordata Spot Pads

I bought it at the PX.

The existing Houttuynia cordata pads come in 70 sheets,

Since PX products come in packs of 140, it is definitely more advantageous to buy them at the PX.

I think the price was in the mid-to-late 10,000 won range as well.

I bought the Abib Houttuynia Cordata Spot Pads and I'm using them well.

It is already a famous item, so there are likely many reviews out there, but I would like to share my personal review.

 

They even give you extra tongs and a lid stopper for hygienic use, but I just pick it up with my hands lol.

Wiping the tongs is a chore, too... (awkward)

 

One side of the pad is smooth and

One side is bumpy.

I think they made it like that so you can use it however you see fit, depending on your purpose.

 

It is on the thicker side.

It felt thick to me.

I think it would have been fine even if it were thinner.

 

I used it to stick on my hair before drying it.

I initially intended to use it as a toner, but

The pad is too thick to use just for wiping...

I thought it was a waste to use it just for wiping once.

 

Maybe because the pad is thick

It didn't stick perfectly without any gaps.

The edges are lifting up a little.

Still, it sticks well to the face.

 

If I dry my hair for 10 minutes, it stays attached like this.

You can see that some of the essence has evaporated.

It never falls off while drying your hair.

It is perfect if you dry it completely, peel it off, and apply a moisturizer.

 

There is a second reason why I don't use it for wiping toner: I used to wipe with this bumpy surface, but...

I tasted hell.

It stings like hell

The smooth surface is a bit better, though.

Why bother?

 

And if you wipe with a rough surface

I tried it hoping it would exfoliate a bit.

It didn't work.

Even the Houttuynia cordata pads couldn't solve the dead skin cells caused by Differin.

 

After trying this and that, the result

It worked best for me to apply it to moisturize before putting on makeup or while drying my hair.

It feels like toner mixed with essence.

I think it would be fine to use it on its own in the summer.

Just because you put this on in the fall and winter doesn't mean you don't need to apply moisturizer.

Rather than using it alone, use it as a toner substitute before applying cream.

 

The PX prices are so good... I hesitate to buy it at Olive Young.

Recommended for sticking rather than wiping.

It feels like a mix of essence and toner.

It's good to put on a bunch of them on on days when you're too lazy to do a face mask.

 

I haven't tried other pads, but

It is a product that is unlikely to be polarizing.

Maybe that's why they're doing so well?
