I have combination skin, and I'm worried about excess sebum and blackheads on my nose and butterfly zone.
I currently have combination skin. My face was very oily, which caused me to get acne during my teenage years. Perhaps because of that, my nose and butterfly zone are still quite oily. As a result, I am always worried about blackheads and excess sebum.
I heard that it is not good to squeeze out blackheads whenever dark sebum builds up, so I exfoliate and remove sebum about 1-2 times a week, but it doesn't seem to be resolving the issue very well.
Squeezing blackheads or sebum can be irritating and cause injury. Also, while it feels good to pop blackheads out with your fingers, if you squeeze them incorrectly, small holes form in the blackhead area, and as I get older, I feel like those holes are making my pores bigger.
Also, how do I remove sebum that isn't milia but has clumped up and is slightly protruding from the pores?
When I squeeze the sebum with a cotton swab, the sebum inside does come out... but it always rises up in the area where it forms, like bumps.
I felt like my pores were getting bigger from squeezing blackheads with my hands, so I tried using X Lotion, which is said to be effective for blackheads and sebum.
They say that if you soak a cotton pad with it and place it on areas with a lot of sebum for about 15-20 minutes, the sebum softens and comes out...
Honestly, I didn't see much effect.
There are soft sebum, but there are also hard sebum.
In particular, even if I remove the continuously produced sebum, it keeps accumulating.
Perhaps because it was concentrated sebum, the X lotion didn't soften it and come out easily.
Every time I look in the mirror, I see blackheads and sebum inside my pores, so I've tried using mud-type masks that absorb and remove sebum, as well as a slightly stronger peel-off pack... but it feels more like dead skin cells are coming off my face rather than sebum being pulled out.
Even after using the peel-off pack, I don't really feel like blackheads and sebum have been removed.
So, I needed stronger sebum and blackhead removal, so I bought a nose pack and tried using it.
It definitely feels like blackheads and sebum are being pulled right out, but it feels a bit irritating.
My skin is quite sensitive to irritation, so after using a nose pack, my nose turns red, perhaps because it gets irritated.
And most importantly, it feels like it's removing sebum and blackheads, but my pores feel like they've been completely cleared out.
How do I remove blackheads?
Is there an effective method to remove sebum and blackheads without irritation or squeezing?
How do I get rid of sebum that isn't blackheads but is concentrated like white sebum, causing bumps that look like uneven skin?
Squeezing is the easiest way, but does squeezing blackheads and sebum widen pores and irritate the skin too much?
How should I care for my skin after removing sebum and blackheads?
After removing sebum and blackheads, my pores feel clearer. How do you manage your pores?
I have combination skin and I'm worried about excess sebum and blackheads on my nose and butterfly zone. Please tell me how to manage them.
