Now that I’ve gotten older, all that oil has vanished. Not only during seasonal changes, but whenever I wash my face, my skin feels tight and stiff, as if wrinkles are forming. I’ve reached the age where I apply moisturizer right in the bathroom before leaving. Naturally, the blackheads that used to spread all over the bridge of my nose are also barely visible these days. I’m not sure if it’s because the oil has disappeared due to age or if it’s because I’ve been taking care of my skin since last year, but either way, it’s nice not to see them.
But my biggest concern is sebum. It ranges from white whiteheads to bumps that bulge out from under the skin like cysts—sebum that I can't even locate the starting point of when I try to squeeze it out. With whiteheads or blackheads, you can see the sebum on the outside. You can squeeze those out or use an oil massage to extract them, but this kind of sebum has no exit. So it always stays right there. It doesn't seem to be getting any bigger, and since it just stays exactly where it is, it’s driving me crazy.
I feel that other types of sebum can be sufficiently removed with an oil massage. If I massage with oil about once a week, I can feel the granules coming out as I roll my skin. But what should I do about this kind of sebum? I am currently using products containing BHA, so I would appreciate it if you could share any product recommendations or methods!
