Do I really need to use eye cream because of fine lines around my eyes?

Lately, whenever I look in the mirror, I find myself getting a little self-conscious about the area under my eyes.
I wondered if I should use a separate eye cream, but I couldn't tell the difference from a regular moisturizing cream.
I looked it up and found that you don't necessarily have to use an expensive eye cream.
They say that providing sufficient moisture is essential for areas that are thin and prone to dryness, such as around the eyes.
They also say that when applying it, it is better to apply only a small amount by gently patting it on rather than rubbing your skin hard.
I heard that consistently using sunscreen is important above all else, so I'm paying attention to it these days.
