As someone living in Daegu, here are some foolproof base makeup recommendations.

1. Clio Kill Cover Skin Fixer Cushion

It has become my holy grail after experiencing incredible staying power. I tested it for about 6 hours as soon as it arrived, and only a slight oiliness appeared without it breaking down at all :) If you have combination skin, I recommend exfoliating and ensuring sufficient hydration before applying a thin layer to maintain the longevity. Also, do not apply it directly to your face after dabbing; be sure to control the amount on the lid or the back of your hand before applying to ensure a beautiful finish. You don't really need to worry about darkening, and since I usually use shade 21, this shade was perfect for me!

2. Clio Makeup Fixer

I have repurchased this so many times because it feels like it keeps my makeup in place even in the summer. I started using this product because I hate how my makeup breaks down due to the heavy sweating and oiliness I experience while living in Daegu. First off, the scent is the kind you smell in places full of cosmetics, so it is not at all unpleasant or off-putting! Longevity is the most important factor, and when I spray it after applying makeup, it dries quickly and feels like it adheres perfectly. While staying power may vary from person to person, for me, my makeup remained intact until I took the first train home the next day after drinking all night! The sides of my nose and chin did break down a bit, but the rest of my face stayed almost exactly the same. If you spray it twice—once before and once after—your makeup adheres well and the staying power doubles, making it a must-have for all four seasons, especially in the summer.

3. Skinfood Peach Bbo-song Multi Finish Powder

You all know that product that was a huge sensation at one point, the one that comes to mind when you think of no-sebum powder, right?! After repurchasing that product about 3-4 times, I switched to this item back in high school! As I mentioned earlier, I hate it more than anything in the world when my makeup breaks down in the summer because I sweat a lot and get oily. That is why I use both the setting spray and the powder at the same time. It has a cute design that immediately reminds anyone of a peach, and it has lasted a long time without a single crack or broken spot. It has a subtle peach scent rather than an artificial one, and I use it all the time because my base makeup definitely loses its longevity without it! Compared to the product mentioned in the first sentence, I switched because the container is a bit larger and it offers better value for money :)
