Today's Makeup

I skipped base makeup today and just applied sunscreen. However, since I couldn't give up on my lips, I layered two shades.

It is Hera Rouge Holic Velvet Skin 234 and Chanel ROUGE ALLURE N1.

Should I call the Hera lipstick a bit of a brick red? The Chanel lipstick is a really bright red, so I thought the two wouldn't go well together, but on a day like today when I'm not wearing makeup, I found applying it all the way to the inner part of my lips a bit too much for me.

So, I fill in the inner part of my lips with Hera lipstick and layer the Chanel lipstick on the outer part. The Chanel lipstick is very vibrant even with just a little bit, but since I received it as a gift, it felt like a waste not to use it. So, I apply a lot of Hera lipstick and lightly dab on just a tiny bit of the Chanel. Because it is so bright even with just a small amount, the color payoff is excellent.

Hera lipsticks accentuate dry skin slightly.

The color payoff isn't as good as Chanel, so I apply it two or three times.

Chanel lipsticks have such great color payoff that I only apply a tiny bit, and they felt slightly dry to me.
