What kind of moisturizing cream should I use for dry skin?

Because my skin is dry, it sometimes cracks and feels hard, so I need a moisturizer that suits my skin. Of course, I have received many different moisturizers, but I would really like to receive and use a good one that is recommended to me. My skin is somewhat better during the summer because I sweat a lot, but in winter or elsewhere, the moisture dries out, causing my skin to crack, bleed, and sting. It is painful, but that also indicates dry skin. I feel that people with dry skin like mine need to apply a good moisturizer that keeps the skin hydrated for a long time.
