Is there an easy way to moisturize and care for calluses on the feet?

My heels and soles are always dry and prone to roughness due to a buildup of dead skin cells. I try to take extra care of my foot exfoliation, but it is a bit of a hassle. I exfoliate with hot water and apply a fine foot cream when I shower, but there are still areas that remain dry or rough. It was like this in the winter, but even in the summer, I find myself really self-conscious about my heels and soles when wearing sandals. Is there an easier way to achieve soft, smooth soles and heels? Please share your tips and tricks if you are good at taking care of your feet!
