Are there any skin regeneration ointments that are helpful after skin trouble occurs?

I am concerned about occasional breakouts on my face. They usually appear around my mouth or on my forehead. After the breakouts clear up, my skin seems to recover very slowly, and it doesn't feel like it is regenerating cleanly. At some point, I even noticed that my skin doesn't look clean. If there is a skin regeneration ointment that helps with breakouts or scarring, I would like to try using it. I understand that skin regeneration ointments are usually sold at pharmacies, so if you have used any that you were satisfied with, please share them with me.
