Romand Bare Water Cushion Review — A Record of a Moisturizing Base Item Tried by Dry Skin
Lately, I’ve been trying out various products because I want to keep my base makeup as light as possible, and the one I tried this time is the Romand Bare Water Cushion. My skin type is naturally combination, leaning towards dehydrated dryness, so even though it looks shiny on the surface, it tends to feel very tight underneath. My skin tone is shade 21, ranging from neutral to slightly warm. Although I haven't received a professional personal color analysis, after comparing my skin tones several times, I feel that the Spring Warm Light shade suits me best, so I usually stick to bright and clear tones for my makeup.
When I first opened the case, the texture looked really light and moisturizing, so I applied it with half anticipation and half worry. However, the moment I patted it with a puff, the way it adhered so well, almost like it was soaked in water, was better than I expected. It isn't the type that goes on thickly; instead, it spreads thinly along the skin's texture. So, while the blemish coverage isn't dramatic, it feels almost completely suffocating. My biggest stress is my base cracking on dry days, but I was satisfied because this didn't cause any tightness until the afternoon.
The tone correction provides a natural brightening effect, so based on my skin tone (shade 21), it didn't look excessively white; instead, it gave a clear, radiant look. However, there was slight breakdown around the nose area if I wore a mask for a long time or if oil started to build up, so it was helpful to lightly set it with powder. Personally, as a Spring Warm personal color type, what I liked most was that it gave a transparent finish without making the skin look dull. It was a cushion I reached for often when going out lightly or to school, rather than on days when I needed heavy coverage. Overall, it is quite good for creating that "good-looking skin" vibe, so I have been using it frequently lately.
