I’m going to summarize my honest review after consistently using WakeMake’s Defining Concealer for the past few weeks. I have combination skin, characterized by an oily T-zone and a U-zone that dries out quickly. My personal color is Spring Warm Light, and my overall skin tone is a bright shade 21. Therefore, when choosing a cushion, I prioritize a product that doesn't cake or feel heavy, cleanly covers pores and blemishes, and has long-lasting staying power that doesn't break down by the afternoon. This product was quite satisfying in those aspects. When first applied, it adheres moistly like a cream, but after a few seconds, it naturally dries to a matte finish, creating a blurred effect on the pores. I tend to experience significant creasing around the nose and flaking on the chin, but with this cushion, if I pat it on thinly, it doesn't look like I just applied it while maintaining a decent level of coverage, making it great for work makeup. I chose a shade in the 21 family with a slight yellow undertone that is suitable for warm tones; it matched my skin tone well without any gray undertones, so my face didn't look dull and appeared naturally radiant. Although there was some slight transfer on days when wearing a mask for a long time, my overall makeup hardly felt like it was breaking down or smudging. If I lightly pressed down my T-zone with powder in the afternoon, it stayed neat all day long. However, on very dry days, the area around my mouth might feel a bit tight, so it was good to pay attention to using a moisturizing base on those days. Also, applying multiple layers expecting coverage can make it look thick, so layering it thinly looked the prettiest. As someone with a bright overall shade 21 Spring Warm skin and combination complexion, I was fully satisfied with it as a daily cushion. It is a product I would recommend to anyone who wants both a naturally beautiful complexion and long-lasting wear.
