It is a hot and humid season these days

I’d like to introduce the Hera Black Cushion that I’ve been using well. To start with the conclusion, it was a quite satisfying cushion, even for combination skin.

1. Adhesion & Coverage

From the very first touch, I was surprised by how good the adherence is. It applies thinly but covers pores quite well, and redness or blemishes are naturally concealed with just a couple of taps. The coverage is better than expected. However, if you apply it too thickly, it can feel a bit cakey on dry areas, so I found it better to apply thin layers multiple times.

 

2. Longevity

The staying power is quite good as well. I apply it at 9 AM, and when I look in the mirror around 5 PM, only my T-zone is slightly oily, while the rest remains pretty much the same. In particular, it doesn't crease severely around the nose, so I think it's a good choice for combination skin. If oil comes up, you can lightly blot it with a tissue and reapply a little cushion foundation to keep it clean again.

 

3. Finish & Feel

The Hera Black Cushion has a semi-matte finish; it isn't too dry or too dewy, so it feels like the perfect middle ground for combination skin. I used a hydrating base on my cheeks because I was worried they might be dry, and it worked well without any tightness.

 

4. Case & Puff

The case is a simple yet luxurious black, which is nice, and the puff is thick with good adhesion. However, I found that it is essential to wash the puff regularly.

 

Overall review

For combination skin, it controls the oily T-zone well, and for the dry U-zone, it is a decent cushion as long as you apply a hydrating base. It offers good coverage without feeling heavy, and touch-ups are clean, so I use it well as my daily cushion.
