Styling Tips for Curly Hair During the Rainy Season

I’ve prepared this for those with curly hair that gets particularly frizzy every summer! I’ll share curly hair care tips and recommend products that work well with them.

 

 

Shorten shampooing time

Please focus on massaging the scalp while shampooing. Massage for one minute to remove impurities from the scalp, and finish by gently running your hands through the hair.

 

 

Hair dryer from top to bottom

Natural drying curly hair can worsen the frizz, so it is best to use a hairdryer immediately after shampooing. When drying your hair, use lukewarm air and dry it from top to bottom. Gently pressing and sweeping your hair from top to bottom with your palms can help make it smoother.

 

 

Applying hair products

Simply pressing down on curly hair with a flat iron won't get rid of the frizz. If you want to achieve a silky, flowing look, be sure to use proper products for care. After shampooing and removing excess water, applying a product like a leave-in conditioner will help maintain a silky texture for a long time without tangling. Applying a cream-based product once more before blow-drying can prevent frizz. Oil-based products are not recommended, as they absorb slowly and may produce smoke if heat is applied immediately with a straightener.
