How to choose a sunscreen that washes off easily
Recently, formulations have been introduced that change the form of cosmetic ingredients from water-in-oil (W/O) emulsions to oil-in-water (O/W) emulsions to facilitate easy removal of sunscreen with just water washing. The O/W type is a hydrophilic emulsion in which oil droplets are dispersed in water; products with high water content, such as toners and lotions, typically have this form. Since water comes into direct contact with the skin, it feels light and refreshing and washes off easily with water. On the other hand, the W/O type consists of water mixed within oil; while oil is the main component and water is mixed in, it offers good moisturizing properties but feels heavy and sticky.
