Skin that looks dull no matter how much care I take—one cleansing habit I changed
Even though I take consistent care of my skin, there were many days when my face looked strangely dull and my makeup didn't apply well.
I tried using skincare products that were said to be good and even tried moisturizing masks, but I was very worried because there wasn't as much change as I expected.
Then, surprisingly, the first thing I changed was my face washing method.
In the past, I liked the squeaky clean feeling, so I used to rub my face for a long time while washing it, thinking my skin was getting clean. However, I found that it actually stripped my skin of the moisture it needed, causing severe tightness after washing, and I felt like more oil was rising to the surface over time.
So now, when I wash my face, instead of lathering up sufficiently and rubbing my face, I rinse it off gently by rolling the foam with my hands.
It was especially good to keep the massage brief for areas prone to dryness, such as the eyes and mouth.
And the most important thing after washing your face is not to dry it completely, but to start moisturizing immediately while it is still slightly damp.
After changing this habit, my skin felt much more comfortable than before, and there were fewer days when my makeup looked cakey.
I realized that changing basic daily habits can be of greater help to the skin than adding expensive cosmetics.
