These days, the weather has become hotter and more humid, with intense sunlight. Whenever I go outside, I come back drenched in sweat with a flushed face. Not only is my physical vitality declining, but it feels like my facial skin is getting even worse.
So, on days when I do a lot of outdoor activities, I follow a soothing care routine.
First, I thoroughly cleanse with a mildly acidic product, and I take special measures before using basic skincare products.
I use a soothing mask. I don't really want to put ice directly on my face, but among the ones I've tried, the one that lowers heat and has the best soothing effect is the Daiso 'Azulene Calming Mask.' This is a gel-type product with a bluish tint. I think the blue color was probably inspired by the azulene ingredient. It has a fluid gel texture that adheres well to the face. Since I'm impatient, I always ended up tearing the part on my forehead, but it doesn't fall off easily and stays firmly in place, making it perfect for doing housework.
It is recommended to leave it on for an hour, but after about 40 minutes, the gel starts to dry and becomes itchy. I remove it even if it isn't completely dry yet. Worried that it might be irritating or dry out my skin, I quickly finish by moisturizing with cream. My skin feels cool, so the heat sensation subsides and the redness calms down a bit, which is why I always buy this product whenever I go to Daiso. I find that this gel type cools things down more effectively.
My skin condition seemed to improve significantly the next day as well. I also feel like it will reduce heat-induced aging, so I am very satisfied with using it these days. I recommend buying and trying this product if you visit Daiso.
