My beauty tip for exfoliating your lips before applying lipstick

There were many days when the color was pretty when I applied lipstick, but my lips looked flaky due to dead skin cells.

Especially when I apply matte lipstick, the dead skin cells stand out more, making my lips look even worse.

At first, I thought it was a problem with the lip product, so I tried switching to a different one, but there wasn't much difference, so I decided to try a different approach.

So these days, I make sure to exfoliate first before applying lipstick.

After washing your face, gently rub your lips with a cotton swab or tissue while they are still slightly damp.

At this stage, it is important not to rub hard, but to clean it up gently in several small steps.

Instead of trying to finish it all at once, repeating the process little by little is less irritating to the lips and leaves a much neater finish.

Next, apply a thin layer of lip balm to refine the condition of your lips once more.

If you apply it too thickly, your lips might smudge, so I tend to use just enough to absorb lightly.

If you apply the lipstick after some time has passed, the surface of your lips is much smoother, so it feels like the color applies evenly.

If you apply lipstick after doing this process, the color goes on much more smoothly and the messy look is definitely reduced.

In particular, the feeling of settling into lip creases has been reduced, making the overall makeup look more polished.

Even when looking at the photos, the lip expression looked much cleaner, so I could feel the difference more clearly.

It is a bit of a hassle, but the difference in results is clear, so it is a method I make sure to follow these days.
