What's wrong with my skin lately? This is how I changed my skincare routine for the changing seasons.
Have you ever felt like your skin suddenly became dry and dull lately, that your makeup doesn't apply well, and that you're getting breakouts for no reason? I also felt these changes acutely whenever the seasons changed, so it was stressful for a while. So, I tried changing my usual skincare routine a little, and I definitely felt that my skin condition became much more stable.
The first thing I changed was reducing my skincare routine. In the past, I used to apply all sorts of products that were supposed to be good, but I realized that could actually be a burden during the change of seasons.
So right now, I'm keeping my skincare routine simple with just a toner, a hydrating ampoule, and a cream. Instead, I'm focusing on ensuring each product is absorbed more thoroughly.
I am paying more attention to moisturizing than usual. Especially at night, I apply a slightly more generous amount of cream than usual to prevent my skin from drying out. Since doing this, I've noticed that my skin feels much less tight when I wake up in the morning.
Another thing I realized is that during the changing seasons, the environment is just as important as the skin. Since dry indoor air immediately affects the skin, I am making it a habit to use a humidifier or drink water frequently.
I think it's important to adjust your routine slightly to suit the changing seasons rather than sticking to your usual methods. Since I started managing my skin this way, it feels less sensitive and much more comfortable than before, so I plan to continue maintaining this approach.
