Seasonal Skin SOS๐Ÿšจ My Soothing Routine for Urgent Needs

You know how sometimes your skin suddenly feels like itโ€™s breaking out whenever the seasons change? Itโ€™s usually fine, but itโ€™s really disconcerting when one day it suddenly stings, turns red, and even gets breakouts. After going through this a few times myself, I created a separate routine to use when I need to quickly soothe my skin.

Whenever I feel my skin has become sensitive, the first thing I do is 'simplify.' Rather than applying a lot of different products, I try to temporarily reduce the number of items I use and manage my skin as simply as possible. Since continuing to use functional products can actually cause irritation, I tend to stick to gentle products during this time.

I realized that it is important to cleanse with as little irritation as possible. After lathering up sufficiently, I wash by gently rolling my face without rubbing, and I always make sure to use lukewarm water. After cleansing, I immediately apply a soothing toner lightly in several layers before my skin dries out to replenish moisture.

Next, apply a soothing ampoule or serum, and finish with a cream to protect the skin and minimize external irritation. Especially at this stage, it was better to apply thin layers multiple times rather than a large amount to avoid burdening the skin.

On days when my skin is really irritated, I find it helpful to use a cold towel or a face mask kept in the refrigerator to cool down the heat. I feel the redness subside immediately, so it is a method I use often.

And personally, Iโ€™ve realized that during the change of seasons, skin condition varies from day to day, so it is most important to manage it according to your state that day. Rather than strictly maintaining the same routine, I adjust my approach: focusing on soothing on days when my skin is sensitive, and on moisturizing on days when it is fine.

For those of you whose skin suddenly becomes sensitive like mine, focusing on 'reducing irritation and soothing' rather than trying to do something excessive will definitely be helpful.
