Fresh Hesperides Eau de Parfum

I tried spraying the sample I bought because they were selling them, but hmm... I had high expectations because it was always mentioned in grapefruit perfume recommendation posts, but it's a little different from what I imagined. I was hoping for a fresh and tangy scent of raw grapefruit. It is tangy, but it smells more like sweet grapefruit juice than I expected. Unlike what I thought would suit midsummer, the sweetness makes me think it would be a better fit for early or late summer, past the peak of summer.

The middle notes contain lotus and jasmine, and the base notes have a musk code, but I could barely detect the middle notes, and I had to bury my nose in it just to smell the musk. Also, even though it is an Eau de Parfum, the scent fades as quickly as a Cologne. I'll have to test it again later to see if it's because my skin is dry or if the longevity is just short.

Anyway, it would have been perfect if the sweetness were just a little toned down. It is a bit of a shame, but I still think it is one of the best grapefruit scents I’ve ever smelled. If you are looking for a refreshing and sweet grapefruit fragrance, give it a try :)
