Do you remove facial hair and fine hair?

I heard that if you have facial hair and fine hair, the makeup doesn't adhere well and looks patchy when you apply it.

And they say that my face looks messy and not neat because of the facial downy hair and body hair...

How does everyone manage their facial hair and fine hair?

As I get older, it seems like my facial vellus hairs are no longer soft and delicate, but are becoming a bit thicker and stronger. Sometimes, when I wash my face or cleanse, the vellus hairs stand out in the bathroom mirror... I'm wondering if I should trim them.
